Best AI Brand Sentiment Analysis Tools in 2026 (and Which Job Each One Does)

TL;DR

  • The best AI brand sentiment analysis tools depend on the job: measuring how people talk about a brand on social media and the web, or measuring how AI engines such as ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews describe it.
  • Social listening tools such as Brand24, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Sprout Social and Meltwater do the first job. As of 3 November 2026, they start at $199 a month or require a sales quote.
  • AEO tools such as Omnia, Peec AI, Profound, Otterly and the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit do the second job. As of 3 November 2026, their entry plans run from $29 to $99 a month, plus €79 for Omnia.
  • A social listening tool cannot show what an AI answer says about a brand, because it reads posts and articles rather than captured AI answers.
  • A marketer with no AEO specialist should pick the tool that matches the job, then start a free trial with a few prompts that a real buyer would type.

Most guides to AI brand sentiment analysis tools list social listening software and call it a day. That made sense when "AI sentiment" meant a model scoring tweets. Now buyers also ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google which brands to trust, and the answer they get is a sentence your team never wrote and rarely sees.

That creates two separate jobs with two separate kinds of tool. This guide compares ten tools by the job each one does, using prices and features read on vendor sites on 2 and 3 November 2026. Omnia built this guide and is one of the ten tools, so we say where Omnia fits and where it does not.

The best AI brand sentiment analysis tools compared

The ten tools below split cleanly into five that measure sentiment in AI answers and five that measure sentiment in social and web conversations. Prices and features were read on each vendor's own site on 2 and 3 November 2026, and plans change often, so check the vendor before you buy.

Which kind of AI brand sentiment tool do you need?

You need a social listening tool if your question is what people say about your brand, and an AEO tool if your question is what AI engines say about it. The two questions sound alike and have different data behind them.

Sentiment analysis in social listening reads public posts, articles, reviews and forum threads, then labels each mention positive, neutral or negative. The output shows how a campaign or a news cycle landed with people.

Sentiment analysis in AI answers reads the answers an AI engine gives to a prompt, such as "best project management tool for a small agency", and labels how the answer treats your brand. The reader of that answer is a buyer who has not yet visited your site. In Omnia, each feature gets a label of endorsed, neutral or undermined, and each label opens the sentence that produced it.

There is a third option that is not a tool: asking a general AI assistant directly. That works for a quick check and fails for tracking, as the section on ChatGPT below explains.

How we evaluated these tools

We compared each tool on seven criteria that matter to a marketer buying without a specialist. Those are the job it does, the engines or sources it covers, the form of its sentiment output, whether you can open the evidence behind a score, the lowest paid plan, whether a free trial exists, and how much work remains after the report. Facts came from vendor pricing and product pages read on 2 and 3 November 2026. Where a page did not state something, the table says so rather than guessing.

Omnia built this guide. We include Omnia because it does the second job, we list the other four tools in that group on equal terms, and we say below where social listening is the better choice. Vendors change prices and limits without notice, so treat every figure as dated.

Best tools for sentiment in AI answers

The five tools below track how AI engines describe a brand, using a set of prompts that you choose and that the tool runs on a schedule. They differ in engine coverage, in how they show sentiment, and in what they leave for you to do afterwards.

Omnia

Omnia monitors how AI engines describe your brand across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode by default, with Claude, Gemini and Copilot available on request, up to seven engines in total. Monitoring runs daily, by prompt, country and engine, and stores the complete answer.

Sentiment in Omnia is scored per feature as endorsed, neutral or undermined against competitors, and each score opens the sentence in the AI answer that produced it. The Omnia Agent then turns the findings into suggested work, such as page updates and answer pages. Omnia does most of the work, and you make the calls and approve what ships.

As of 2 November 2026, the Growth plan costs €79 a month (€63 billed annually) for 25 prompts, Pro costs €279 for 100 prompts, and Enterprise starts at €499 for 200 or more prompts. A 14-day trial needs no card. Omnia is not a social listening tool, so it will not tell you what people post about you on LinkedIn or Reddit. Best fit: a marketing lead or founder with no AEO specialist who wants the evidence and the next steps in one place.

Peec AI

Peec AI tracks brand visibility and sentiment across AI models, running each prompt every 24 hours. Its product page describes sentiment as a score per brand within a prompt, with short summaries such as a positive endorsement of a brand as fast and simple.

As of 2 November 2026, Starter costs $95 a month for 50 prompts, three chosen models and one country, Pro costs $245 for 150 prompts and three countries, and Advanced costs $495 for 350 prompts. Peec AI's pricing page also lists 15% off annual billing and unlimited seats. The product page does not define the sentiment scale, and the Starter plan's three-model limit matters if your buyers use more engines. Best fit: a team that wants clean prompt-level tracking and has already decided which models to watch.

Profound

Profound measures brand sentiment in answer engines and shows the sources driving the narrative. Its homepage lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Google AI Overviews, and Enterprise coverage runs to nine engines with single sign-on.

Profound offers a free seven-day trial with 50 prompts across three engines, and as of 2 November 2026 it does not publish a price for Enterprise. That makes budgeting hard for a small team, and the product is built for larger organizations. Best fit: an enterprise team that needs wide engine coverage and has a procurement process.

Otterly

Otterly is the lowest-priced dedicated tracker we compared. As of 3 November 2026, Lite costs $29 a month ($25 billed annually) for 15 prompts, Standard costs $189 for 100 prompts, and Premium costs $489 for 400 prompts, with ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot included.

Google AI Mode and Gemini are paid add-ons, from $9 a month on Lite. The pricing page does not describe a sentiment feature, so confirm what Otterly reports on sentiment before you rely on it for this job. Best fit: a team that wants basic mention and citation tracking on a tight budget.

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit sits inside the Semrush platform. Its Brand Performance report analyzes brand sentiment, share of voice and the narratives that shape how AI answers describe a brand, and Prompt Tracking names ChatGPT and Google AI Mode.

As of 3 November 2026 the toolkit costs $99 a month with no free trial, extra Brand Performance domains cost $99 each, 50 more tracked prompts cost $60, and each additional user needs a separate $99 license. The vendor page does not say what the sentiment output looks like or list every engine. Best fit: a team that already works in Semrush and wants AI answers in the same login.

When a social listening tool is the better choice

A social listening tool is the better choice when the question is about public conversation rather than AI answers: a product launch, a PR crisis, a campaign, reviews, or what customers say in forums. These tools read posts, news and reviews, and they have years of archive that an AEO tool does not.

Brand24

Brand24 monitors mentions across social media and the web, and every plan includes AI sentiment analysis. According to Brand24's pricing page on 3 November 2026, the Individual plan costs $199 a month billed annually ($249 monthly) for three keywords and 2,000 mentions a month, with a 14-day trial and no card required. The AI Visibility module, which tracks brand exposure on AI platforms, is an add-on, so price it separately if you want both jobs in one tool.

Brandwatch

Brandwatch is an enterprise consumer intelligence suite built on a very large archive of online conversation. Its Search Intelligence product includes GenAI Monitoring, but the vendor page does not name the models. Pricing goes through sales, and no self-serve trial is shown.

Talkwalker

Talkwalker monitors social, digital and AI channels and shows sentiment as the share of positive and negative conversation. Its pricing page is sales-led, with demos rather than a trial, so it suits teams that already buy enterprise software.

Sprout Social

Sprout Social is a social media management platform. Its Essentials plan costs $79 per seat a month billed annually, and Listening, which includes sentiment tracking, is an add-on on Standard ($199 per seat) and above. The add-on price is shown only through a demo, and the trial lasts 30 days.

Meltwater

Meltwater serves PR and communications teams, with pricing by quote and a guided demo rather than a trial. Its pricing page lists AI Visibility Tracking as a capability on every plan and points to a separate GenAI Lens product for tracking large language models, so ask which one covers the engines you care about.

What AI engines recommend when buyers ask for sentiment tools

When Omnia asked AI engines for the best AI brand sentiment analysis tools, they named social listening tools almost every time and AEO tools rarely. This is the pattern behind the confusion that this guide addresses.

The data comes from Omnia's own monitoring of one non-branded US prompt about AI brand sentiment analysis tools, from 4 October to 3 November 2026. The answers came from Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google AI Mode, and they named 65 brands and cited 154 sources. In Omnia's monitoring for that period, Brand24 appeared in 98.2% of answers, Brandwatch in 94.5%, Sprout Social in 78.2%, Talkwalker in 72.7% and Meltwater in 61.8%. Among AEO tools, Peec AI and Semrush each appeared in 25.5%, Profound in 23.6%, and Omnia in 1.8%, ranking 43rd of 65 brands.

The takeaway for a buyer is that an AI engine asked for "AI sentiment analysis" reads it as social listening. If you want tools that measure what AI says about you, name that job in your prompt. The takeaway for Omnia is that no page yet explains the difference clearly, which is the reason for this guide. These figures come from a single prompt and one month, so read them as a snapshot and not as a market ranking.

Can ChatGPT analyze your brand's sentiment on its own?

ChatGPT can describe how it currently talks about your brand, but it cannot track that description over time or show how other engines and countries differ. You can ask it a few buyer questions and read the answers, and that is a fair way to get a first impression.

The limits show up when you need a result you can trust. A chat answer varies from one session to the next, it reflects one engine, one country and one phrasing, and nothing stores the answers so you can compare this month with last month. A monitoring tool runs the same prompts daily across engines and keeps the full answers. If you want your own assistant to work from that data, Omnia's MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor access to your Omnia data, while the Omnia Agent does the work inside Omnia.

How to choose an AI brand sentiment analysis tool

Choose by answering five questions in order, and stop when the answer is clear.

  1. Which job is it? If you need to know what people say on social media or in the press, buy a social listening tool. If you need to know what AI engines say, buy an AEO tool.
  2. Which engines do your buyers use? Check that the plan you can afford includes them. Peec AI's Starter plan covers three models, Otterly charges extra for Google AI Mode and Gemini, and Omnia covers four engines by default.
  3. Can you open the evidence? A sentiment score is only useful if you can read the sentence behind it. Ask each vendor to show you one.
  4. How many prompts do you need? Start with a small set that a real buyer would type, then expand. Plans range from 15 prompts on Otterly Lite to 25 on Omnia Growth and 50 on Peec AI Starter.
  5. Who acts on the result? A report that nobody acts on does not change what AI says. Check what each tool does after the report, and who on your team has time to do it.

What to do this week

Run your five most important buyer questions through an AEO tool and read what the answers say about you. FAQs

What is AI brand sentiment analysis?

AI brand sentiment analysis is the use of AI to judge whether the way a brand is described is positive, neutral or negative. It applies to two sources: public conversation on social media and the web, and the answers that AI engines give to buyer questions. The tools differ by source, so check which one a vendor means.

Are social listening tools enough to track what AI says about my brand?

No, a social listening tool reads posts, news and reviews, not captured AI answers. Some vendors now sell an AI visibility module, such as Brand24's add-on or Meltwater's AI Visibility Tracking. Check which engines it covers and whether you can open the full answer.

How much do AI brand sentiment analysis tools cost?

In the tools checked on 2 and 3 November 2026, AEO tools start from $29 a month for Otterly Lite, $95 for Peec AI Starter, $99 for the Semrush toolkit and €79 for Omnia Growth. Social listening tools start at $199 a month for Brand24 and Sprout Social Standard, and Brandwatch, Talkwalker and Meltwater use quotes. Prompt counts, engines and countries differ, so compare the plan limits and not only the price.

Which engines should an AI sentiment tool cover?

It should cover the engines your buyers use, which for most B2B categories means ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Omnia covers these four by default and adds Claude, Gemini and Copilot on request. Broader coverage matters more as your buyers split across assistants.

How often should I check AI sentiment?

Monitor it daily with a tool and review it weekly. AI answers change from day to day, so a single reading can mislead, while a weekly look at the trend shows whether a change you made moved the answers.

Can I fix negative sentiment in AI answers?

Often, yes, but only by changing the sources the engines read. Open the sentence that produced the label, find the pages the engine cited, and update or add content that states the facts clearly. Results take weeks and depend on the engine, so treat movement as directional.
